WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH: MEET ACPO’S NEWEST CHIEF ASSISTANT PROSECUTOR COURTNEY CITTADINI


MAYS LANDING- Chief Assistant Prosecutor Courtney Cittadini received an undergraduate degree from Rutgers College in 1995. She would then graduate from Rutgers Law School – Camden in 2002.  After graduating from law school, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Cittadini clerked for the Honorable Francine Axelrad, J.A.D.

In 2003, she began her career at the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, where she has been assigned to several ACPO units, including, Special Litigation, Grand Jury, Domestic Violence and since 2017, the Screening Unit. In December of 2020, she was promoted to Chief Assistant Prosecutor of ACPO’s Screening Unit.

The Screening / Forfeiture Unit is a new section of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office to facilitate Bail Reform. This Unit works directly with local law enforcement in the review charging and complaint warrants. The unit also handles the review and approval of Search Warrants, CDWs, and Consensuals. The unit also handles civil forfeiture motions involved in the seizure of property from criminal investigations.

In recognition of Women’s History Month, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Cittadini said she has always been inspired by Amelia Earhart because she was true to herself and followed her dreams.
