PLEASANTVILLE MAN SENTENCED FOR CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER

MAYS LANDING— A Pleasantville man was sentenced Friday in connection to the murder of a man in September 2016, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Robert Terrell, 33, was sentenced today to a 12 year New Jersey State Prison sentence and he must serve 85% of that term before he is eligible for parole under the No Early Release Act. Additionally, upon release, he will be placed on parole supervision for 5 years.

Terrell pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 1st degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder for the September 10, 2016 death of Rasheed “Omar” Hines at the intersection of Merion and Linden Avenues in Pleasantville. Terrell was the driver of the vehicle the shooter jumped out of and gunned Hines down while he was riding his bicycle. The shooter remains uncharged at this time. Terrell has refused to cooperate with the police in revealing the identity of the shooter.
