PLEASANTVILLE MAN INDICTED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING 2 CHILDREN

MAYS LANDING – A Pleasantville man is indicted with multiple counts in connection to the sexual assaults of two children, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Sherron Scott, 32, was indicted Thursday morning on multiple counts in connection with the sexual assaults of two children, which occurred in June 2017. An Atlantic County Grand Jury returned 3 counts of First-Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, 2 counts of Sexual Assault, and 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child against Scott.

On January 26, 2018, Scott was arrested by members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Special Victim’s Unit and Egg Harbor Township Police for sexually assaulting two minor children.

Scott was charged with three Counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, two Counts of Sexual Assault and two Counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit arrested Scott after a several month long investigation.

Scott is detained in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The case was investigated by Det. Sgt. William Adamson and Acting Chief Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Buckley represents the state.
