MAYS LANDING— On July 6, 2021, Stefen D. Fleming was sworn in by Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner as a County Investigator. Investigator Fleming said he is inspired to follow in the footsteps of his father retired ACPO Lt. David Fleming III.
Investigator Fleming, 25, has been a resident of Mays Landing since he was 8 years-old. Investigator Fleming graduated from Oakcrest High School in 2014, would then attend Montclair State University and graduate in 2019, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. For the last five years, Investigator Fleming has served in the New Jersey Army National Guard and currently holds the rank of Sergeant.
Investigator Fleming said his father, David Fleming III, inspires him to be all that he can be as he also swore an oath with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office to serve and protect the community. After 25 years of law enforcement service, David Fleming III retired from the ACPO as a Lieutenant in 2013. David Fleming III would continue his service to our county in the Army National Guard. In 2017, he was promoted to Brigadier General and was in charge of the entire Delaware Army National Guard. In 2021, David Fleming III retired from the Army National Guard as a Major General.
“It’s a dream come true to be his legacy moving forward with the ACPO, and serve and protect the community,” Investigator Fleming said.
