MAN KILLED, 2 OTHERS WOUNDED IN PLEASANTVILLE SHOOTING


MAYS LANDING-A Pleasantville man is dead and two others are wounded after a shooting in the city Saturday evening, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

At 6:53 p.m., December 2, 2017, multiple 911 calls were received for reports of shots fired in the area of the 600 Block of Tilton Road in Pleasantville. When Pleasantville Police officers arrived at the scene, Josue Demosthenes, 29, of Pleasantville was found with gunshot wounds. Two other victims, a 21 year-old male and 23 year-old female, were also wounded in the shooting. All victims were taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center, City Campus, where Demosthenes was pronounced deceased.

The two additional shooting victims remain hospitalized in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

An autopsy for Demosthenes is scheduled for Sunday, December 3, 2017.
