MAN CHARGED IN FATAL EHT SHOOTING OF A.C. MAN ON NOV. 21


MAYS LANDING- An Egg Harbor Township man has been charged in the fatal shooting of Rennel Turner last month, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Devon J. Hill, 28, is charged with the following offenses:

Devon Hill
  1. First degree Aggravated Manslaughter
  2. Second degree Possession of a Weapon
  3. Second degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon

On Nov. 21, 2020, EHTPD received multiple 911 calls around 7 p.m., reporting shots fired at 201 Cedar Avenue, EHT. Officers from EHTPD and Pleasantville Police Department responded to the address. Upon arrival, officers located Rennel Turner, 54, of Atlantic City lying unconscious in the driveway.  Turner had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An autopsy determined Turner’s manner of death is homicide and the cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds

This is a cooperative investigation by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
