MAYS LANDING- The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit is investigating the death of 54 year-old Pleasantville man who was found lying dead in the roadway, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
On Wednesday July 15, 2020, at 1:03 a.m., Pleasantville City Police officers responded to a report of a deceased male lying in the roadway. The location of the decedent was on the Black Horse Pike (Rt. 322) and Chestnut Street. The man has been identified as Rickie Jackson was found lying in the outer westbound lane of the Black Horse Pike. The decedent had a medical bracelet on his wrist indicating he was recently released from the hospital.
The ACPO Crash Investigations Unit will be assisting Pleasantville City Police Department with the investigation.
