BRIGANTINE MAN INDICTED WITH MURDER OF 30 YEAR-OLD WIFE


MAYS LANDING- A 37 year-old man has been indicted with first degree Murder in the death of his wife in Aug. 2020, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced.

On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, an Atlantic County Grand Jury returned an indictment for first degree Murder against Robert Declementi, 37, of Brigantine.

Brigantine Police received a 911 call at 4:27 a.m., on Saturday Aug. 22, 2020, and responded to 17 Girard Place in Brigantine. Rachel Declementi, 30, was found deceased in the home with numerous injuries to her body. Robert Declementi was arrested and charged with first degree Murder.

This is a cooperative investigation by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Brigantine Police Department. Atlantic County Assistant Prosecutor Kathleen Robinson represents the state.
