MAYS LANDING- A 37 year-old Atlantic City man was stabbed to death on Thursday evening and a woman is charged in connection to his murder, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
Khaleeia Bass, 34, of Atlantic City, is charged with the following in the fatal stabbing of Kenneth Fenwick Jr.:
- First degree Murder
- Third degree Possession of a Knife for an Unlawful Purpose
On Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, Absecon Police received a 911 call at approximately 8:25 p.m., in reference to a man who had been stabbed inside a residence at 513 Clayton Avenue in Absecon.The man was identified as Fenwick and he was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center City Campus where he died from his injuries. An autopsy will be completed. Bass and Fenwick are believed to have been in a domestic relationship.
Bass was processed on the charges on Friday, November 2, 2018 and is lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Bass’ first appearance and detention hearing are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018.
The investigation was a cooperative effort between the ACPO Major Crimes Unit, Absecon, Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville Police Departments.
