ATLANTIC CITY MAN CHARGED IN FATAL HIT AND RUN – PEDESTRIAN MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH


MAYS LANDING – An Atlantic City man has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal hit and run pedestrian motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed Harris L. Jacobs (26 y/o male from Atlantic City) struck and killed Orlando Fraga (76 y/o male from Atlantic City) on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at approximately 3:35 A.M. on the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey, while operating a white 2016 Toyota 4 Runner.

The defendant is charged with 2nd Degree Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash resulting in the death of Orlando Fraga and was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.

This fatal crash investigation was a cooperative effort by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
