ATCO MAN SENTENCED FOR ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD BY SEXUAL CONDUCT


MAYS LANDING—An Atco man was sentenced on December 15, 2017, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Sexual Conduct, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Euno Roque-Guerrero, 27, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey state prison, in accordance with a plea agreement. Guerrero will be subject to Megan’s Law registration, subject to a sex offender evaluation and parole supervision for life. As a condition of the plea agreement Guerrero will also forfeit a pharmacy technician registration. He is subject to deportation at the conclusion of his sentence.

In July, Roque-Guerrero pleaded guilty to third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Sexual Conduct before Judge Michael Blee.

Guerrero has been detained on these charges since his arrest on Feb. 20, 2017.

On Feb. 20, 2017, at 11:54 p.m., Hammonton Township Police responded to a suspicious vehicle in the rear parking lot of a shopping plaza at 85 South Whitehorse Pike. Police approached the vehicle and saw Guerrero and an 11 year-old female inside the car.

Police asked Guerrero if the juvenile female was related to him and he said yes. Police asked if the defendant was dating the girl and he said yes. Guerrero said they were in the car at the parking lot because they couldn’t go to their homes because their age difference.

Further investigation by Hammonton Township Police and ACPO Special Victims Unit Det. Dan Choe determined that Guerrero was in a dating relationship with the juvenile female. Guerrero admitted having kissed and touched the buttocks of the juvenile female

The case was prosecuted by Chief Assistant Prosecutor John Flammer.
