ACPO MAJOR CRIMES INVESTIGATING FATAL SHOOTING OF MAN IN PLEASANTVILLE


PLEASANTVILLE- An investigation is underway after a 25 year-old man was fatally shot in Pleasantville this evening, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Police received a 911 call at 6:21 p.m., reporting a shooting in the area of 129 N. First Street. Shotspotter was also alerted. A male shooting victim was located in the area. The man was transported to the Atlanticare Medical Center City Division where he was pronounced deceased.

This is a cooperative active investigation by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department. No further information will be released at this time.
