“Today marks the one year anniversary of my swearing in as the Atlantic County Prosecutor and it is an appropriate time to reflect on all of the hard work that each of my staff members has dedicated to ACPO over this same period of time and thank you for your efforts. I would also like to thank the community for their support and cooperation. These combined efforts have enabled me to focus on changing policies that will hopefully improve the life of many others.
As I travel throughout the County, I receive numerous congratulatory comments and compliments about the office. I take every opportunity to give the credit to each and every one of the staff members who make this office work on a daily basis. While most people cite a particular case or investigation, I always remind them that there are so many other initiatives that never make the news that have had a positive impact on criminal justice in Atlantic County.
Over the past year, we have implemented a veteran’s diversionary program, required nearly every law enforcement officer in the County to carry the opioid antidote Narcan, brought charges and/or won convictions in several noteworthy homicide, narcotics, human trafficking, and child sexual assault cases, overhauled the ACPO website, significantly increased our presence on social media, and re-gained a measure of trust, credibility and independence within the community.
For so many reasons, I am proud of the work we have been able to accomplish over the past year. I look forward to all that we will achieve going forward. Thank you to the ACPO staff and the community for the continued efforts to make Atlantic County safer.”
