MAYS LANDING- Two Atlantic City men have been indicted in connection to the fatal shooting of another city man on March 12, 2018, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
Howard Cassell, 30, has been indicted in the death of Da’Quan Montague, 23, also of Atlantic City, from a shooting that occurred March 12, 2018, in the area of 18 North New Jersey Avenue in Atlantic City.
Cassell has been indicted on the following charges:
- Second degree Reckless Manslaughter
- Second degree Possession of a Firearm without a Permit
- Second degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose
He is lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
A third involved male, Tajai Hicks–Anderson, 23, also of Atlantic City, has been indicted on charges of third degree Aggravated Assault.
The cooperative investigation was conducted by ACPO and the Atlantic City Police Department. Assistant Prosecutor Rick McKelvey represents the state.
