Homeland/School Security Unit

The Homeland/School Security Unit is responsible for investigating and follow-up on all terrorism related leads and liaison with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness investigators (NJOHSP), the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and the local police departments.
In addition, the unit works as a liaison with the NJOHSP Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit, The New Jersey State Police Infrastructure Support Unit (ISU) and the local police department in conducting facility visits at Critical Infrastructure Sites, developing Buffer Zone Plans and conducting assessments within Atlantic County, New Jersey.
The Homeland/School Security Unit is also responsible for providing assistance and coordinating with local police departments and school administrators, incidents involving school security, pursuant to the Attorney General's Directives.
