The Computer Crimes Investigations Unit

The Computer Crimes Investigations Unit investigates any violation of criminal law from which knowledge of computer technology is used to commit an offense and where computers are the instrumentality of the offense or the target of the offense. The unit also conducts forensic examinations of computers, cellular telephones and any electronic storage medias in cases where evidence or information pertinent to an investigation may be stored. The Computer Crimes Investigations Unit provides technical assistance and guidance for police agencies in Atlantic County and provides civic awareness programs to the public and schools in Atlantic County.
